Feel good and try something new!

Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a lovely day! So todays post is something a little bit different. After moving back home to Essex and leaving Leeds where I had lived for three years whilst at university I started to feel trapped. I did my best to avoid the inevitable by moving to Mallorca for 5 months once my degree had finished but once the summer season had ended and I found my self back at home I knew I had to adapt and change to life back at home. Don't get me wrong I love being at home but I got used to the freedom I had living with friends a freedom that is much greater than the one you get living with your parents.

Once I finally realised that my university bubble had fully popped and I was now an 'ADULT' with a full time job my mindset completely changed. I all of a sudden became consumed by wanting to earn more money, move out at soon as possible, travel the world, be a size 6 just to name a few
other unobtainable dreams of mine. Needless to say my addiction to social media didn't help! The constant bombardment of images showcasing everyones perfect lives only highlighted to me how imperfect my life seemed to be.

After long chats with my family and friends I decided that I needed to focus on myself and the people around me just like I had at university, there was no reason for my mindset to really change now I was living back at home. I realised that I needed to try new things, meet new people, and continue to do things that made me happy. The feelings, the stress and the rush I felt to try and sort my life out even though i'm only 22 slowly started to subside once I started to try something new and focus on me. I started blogging again, went back to my old dance classes and started going to the gym. These may sound like small things but they are things that keep me occupied and on track to keep working towards the things I want.

You might be wondering why i've attached selfies to this post and how are they relevant? Well to me all things beauty make me happy and sticking to topic of trying something new below I have pushed my boat out and decided to try blue eyeliner. You might be thinking this is ridiculous but to me the idea of wearing bright colours on my eyes was the worst idea ever and something I wasn't wiling to try, but after getting inspiration from other Bloggers and Youtuber's I thought why not try it and it turns out I LOVE IT! The pictures don't do it justice as its subtle but it really helps to make my brown eyes look brighter. This may not be a huge life change but it is something new to me and something I had never tried before.

Anyway enough of me rambling but the point of this post is to let you all no that if you start to feel stuck in a situation you don't want to be in or stressed for any reason try something new and take part in the things you enjoy because it will only help you feel better which will make it that much easier to reach your goals. Love you all.
